Sébastien Barth

Mr Sebastian Barth is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of senior leadership experience in supply chain, freight forwarding, logistics, and shipping across Europe and Africa. Currently serving as the Cluster Director of AGL Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and Madagascar entities, Sebastian leads a team of more than 1200 individuals. In this role, he oversees multiple entities to provide supply chain solutions across hinterland Africa, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Rwanda, Burundi, and Malawi, through Tanzania’s ports of Dar es Salaam, Tanga, and Mtwara.

Among his notable achievements within the cluster portfolio is his leadership of EALS Limited, the Main Logistics Contractor for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP). This project, known as the longest heated crude oil pipeline globally, extends from Uganda to Tanzania’s Tanga Port. Previously, he held key positions in Madagascar and Senegal, overseeing operations, water supply projects, and logistics services.
