Imelda Lutebinga

Imelda is the recipient of the Top 50 Women in Management Africa (WIMA) and Woman Leadership East Africa Award for 2019. Imelda is a strategic business partner respected for her astuteness in integrating global organizations into competitive players in a local context. She is sought after for her ability to align organization resources, systems and structures to further ambitious business strategy.

Imelda has a multinational corporate working experience gained different industries including oil and gas, telecommunication, Logistics and security management from middle to senior managerial roles as a strategic business leader. As the Country General Manager she is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the G4S Tanzania business entities, formulating and successfully implementing policies and long term strategies to drive organic growth, efficiency, stakeholder engagement, statutory compliance, and sustainable business profitability. With the multinational space Imelda has been engaged in a number of regional assignment in most of the Southern and Eastern Africa countries and employee engagement and compensation and benefits projects for the group.

She currently seats at the G4S – Diversity and Inclusion council at Group level. Imelda has been the 1st Ambassador for Women Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) for Tanzania and she has recently been promoted to the Regional Ambassador role for WED –Eastern Africa region which comprises 14 Countries. Imelda is a social entrepreneur founder and CEO of Kaisiki Africa Initiative global nonprofit organization that aims at advancing lasting solutions to improve education, promote health, and expand economic opportunity by imparting soft skills to youth and women in the community.

Imelda’s involvement in women and girls initiatives in the social economic aspect has been quite evident throughout her studies especially when she did a thorough study on Women and Microfinance in her MBA in Corporate Management thesis which had a key focus on the Role of Microfinance in empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Tanzania.
