Jared Awando

Jared holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Corporate Management) from Mzumbe University and Bachelor in Commerce from Jabalpur University, India. He also holds a Diploma in Banking and Insurance from the Central Institute of Management, and an International Post Graduate Diploma in Risk & Insurance Management from IIRM. He has undergone Executive Leadership training from Strathmore University among other short practical & professional courses.

Prior to joining ICEA LION, Jared worked for Jubilee Insurance, Lion of Tanzania (Now ICEA LION General Insurance) and Sanlam General. His experience spans back to 16 years in the spheres of Accounting & Finance, Business development, and Risk management in the insurance industry. He has proven track records in developing strategic business initiatives, developing capacities, coaching, and mentorship as well as planning and implementing modest operational efficiency Jared is a Board member of ICEA LION, the Management Board of the Association of Tanzania Insurers (ATI), Governing Council Insurance Institute of Tanzania, and a member of other governing councils and committees inside and outside the Insurance Industry.
