Leonard Mususa

Leonard is a Private Management Consultant with extensive experience in transaction services including due diligence and business valuations; business recovery and reconstruction services. His other areas of expertise are corporate governance, financial reporting, risk management and control. In this regard, he has recently led an assignment commissioned by the Prime Minister’s Office and funded by the World Bank to review the quality of financial reporting and auditing in Tanzania.

The recommendation arising from this assignment include an action plan to improve availability of audited financial statements and the quality of auditing and financial reporting in Tanzania. Leonard also serves on the boards of a number of companies in Tanzania and Kenya. These include leading media and cement companies listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange, as well as subsidiary of SABMiller (top alcoholic beverages company) and leading commercial bank listed on the Tanzania Stock Exchange.

He is Chairman of a leading print media company and the third largest cement company in Tanzania. Leonard is also a former Board Director of the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania (CEOrt).
