Anael Samuel

Anael is a strategic, passionate and an investor in people with commendable ability to realize business objectives. He is a committed and versatile team player with a proven record to navigate the intersection of business and government stakeholders. He has a blended discipline in leadership, finance, tax, ICT and a tremendous business understanding that distinguishes the performance of his team and companies he has worked with.

His 18 years tenure of work experience, has been at a senior management level in multicultural and multinational highly respected global brands in FMCG, manufacturing, infrastructure and extractive sectors. His underlined achievement has been leading the expansion of Tanga Cement to double its annual capacity, improved reporting quality, set up and formulate business processes at TANCOAL, transform and inspire the Songas team to a high performing team, to mention a few. Anael holds an MBA from the University of Dar es Salaam.

He is a Certified Public Accountant of Tanzania, Certified Information System Auditor and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Dar es Salaam. He also has leadership and management training from the African Leadership University, Oxford University, Strathmore Business School and other reputable institutes within the East African region. Anael is the first Tanzanian CEO of one of the largest and unique gas-to-power companies in Tanzania, Songas Ltd, where he previously held the Chief Financial Officer position responsible for leading business strategic planning, managing complex financial and commercial documentation, financial planning, reporting and management of risk for the company.
